Hi everyone,
Hope you're all beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel
of this long term. Last week with the opening of the Apple store in
Sydney I couldn't get there so I looked up You Tube and watched some
videos of all the happenings at the opening. (What happened to the
comp where you won a fully paid trip to Sydney for the opening of the
store?) I thought we may have had some postings about the new
store. I'm sure there are some Apple geeks amongst us, those who
know Apple is a lifestyle not a product.
So I found various videos with the opening of the Sydney Apple store
and also I found videos of Steve Jobs giving keynotes even back in
84. Boy you should see him then, yes there was a geek look. ( but a
cute geek) If you haven't watched Steve Jobs giving his speech at
Stanford you should have a look it is very inspiring and I loved his
closing words, "Stay Hungry and be foolish." The bloopers is great
especially if you have recently presented and want to feel better
after some tech mishap. And finally I watched a video about
presenting that goes through Steve's presentations as tips for great
presentation skills.
I have become a You Tube junky and found it works really great on the
iPod touch (at home) although we can only use Teacher Tube at school
which also has some great movie clips. I am downloading the videos
and have searched for 21st Century learning and got some great
videos. I'm putting the videos onto the ipods for the teachers to
watch as PD. Not all staff have wireless or internet access at home
so I download them and have them available for the teachers. Making
it easy is the start and then they may want more and visit You Tube
or Teacher Tube themselves and start searching. Greg Whitby also has
some great videos out.
Anyone else know of some great videos on You Tube worth sharing?
Cheers from Jenny
