Haven't tried these for a while, but in the 'free' dept...
• Drawberry - http://raphaelbost.free.fr/main.php?menu=3&id=6
• Inkscape - http://www.inkscape.org/
And of course...
• AppleWorks is still up to the task, even in 10.5.
• iWorks' Pages also includes some simple drawing tools in the page
layout mode (and you can get a school license now for $300 - 500 seats
plus 50 staff!)
Also, depending on what you need to do....
• Drawwell - http://www.drawwell.com/
• CADintosh - http://www.lemkesoft.com/
• DrawIt - http://www.getdrawit.com/
