[Maced] External Drive Issue

Anthony, I think you may be on to something there. Have a blown FireWire
port on my MBP (will get around to having it repaired ... one day) and have
one of those thin retractable cables. It came in an adaptor/cable kit from
Aldi! Time to bin it ...
