[Maced] LCD DISPLAY

Hi 

We're investigating the use of a LCD monitor/display/TV in our foyer connected to an old iMac, maybe an Indigo one, plus say iPhoto to present slideshows about the school. Am I even close in my thinking?

The closest I've been to this is using projectors with currentish iMacs, iBooks, etc.

Any suggestions re compatibility/brand recommendations etc.

For example would something like

be compatible or even 

Aldi's 32" pasma Tv currently on special or???????????????

Any suggestions welcome.
