Hi all

With the National Computer Fund about to roll, I think 1:1 computing
will be THE topic of conversation in the education system over the
next few years.

If you are interested in this topic. I am going to be taking part in a
Digital Chalkie webcast tomorrow night (details below). I am hoping
that my Principal will also be able to join the conversation and
together we will be talking about how we are managing 1:1 computing at
Orange Grove Primary School. We would love for all of you to listen /
chat / contribute to this discussion.

Digital Chalkie Webcast #6: How to start a parent funded notebook
programme in a Primary School
8 p.m (WST) Thursday 13 2008

Dear readers

This Thursday night Paul Fuller will be a special guest in a live
Digital Chalkie webcast.

So if you are interested in how one globally aware primary school got
their one-to-one parent funded notebook program off the ground please
tune-in. We'll be hearing about the students' reactions, planning,
financing, technical and pedagogical shifts.

We invite you to ask questions and share your ideas or opinions by
voice via the skypecast and/or by text in the webcast chat room.
Here's the how-to:
http://www.digitalchalkie.com/2006/07/17/webcast-how-to/

Brad Hicks and I will be kicking off the 1 hour live webcast at
Thursday 8 p.m. West Australian time. If you are in the eastern
states please check your timezone here: http://tinyurl.com/2a7wlf - we
realise it is a bit late for most of you and will be posting a podcast
shortly after.

Have fun :-)
Paul
