[Maced] Crook SOE from DET?

At least it sounds as though yours worked out of the box - mine didn't when
it arrived earlier this year - and yes I did put it through help desk. I did
get mine to work but basically Leopard was the solution.

When I went to configure them I found no trackpad preference and no 
external display ones either(ie mirroring). They were DET  NSW imaged 
with the SOE(10.4.9) It's not the machinery, in a fit of pique I 
dragged out the System disks and installed Leopard whereupon it 
worked fine ie like a Mac. I didn't want to do that on all of them, 
but anyway. However there could be some really cranky people trying 
to use projectors etc.
If there is a quick fix I'm interested, but it is just ridiculous or 
is there one of them conspiracies? I'll believe stupidity first I 
guess.
