The ex-Apple tech (not a reseller tech) said "ah, your phone have been trying to acquire a signal and has just kept trying never locking on".</div><div><br></div><div>So I dropped it back to Airplane mode and the battery drain finished immediately.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>So if you are in an office block with "zero" signal (or comes and goes) you'll find that the iPhone G3 battery will drain faster than you would hope.
